Just Finished and Loved It

Hi All

I've just finished this book and I absolutely loved it even though it was an emotional roller coaster.  Id filled up by chapter three and was in tears by time I finished chapter nine which is not a good look on a early morning train.

Im so glad this book didnt end how I personally expected it too (won't spoil it for anyone still reading) and felt that the section on the end was a nice touch.

I plan to find more books by this author to read as I didnt want to put this book down.

I know exactly what you are saying! Every opportunity I got, cooking, walking the dogs,I read this book! My poor Fiance had to keep reminding me to eat!

The ending was almost as I expected but still a fantastic book.

Had never heard of this guy before but have already been telling people, "Read this book"!

Thank  you ivillage for allowing us the opportunity to read such  wonderful stories.:smileyhappy:

I'm only a third of the way through - only started it this morning! Thank you for not revealing the ending. I have sobbed most of the way through what I have read so far. Am really enjoying the book and will also be looking up further titles by this author. My friend is already lined up to borrow the book from me when I'm done!

Thanks from me too iVillage! x

Hi Ellie,

So glad you're enjoying it. It is a bit of a page-turner so it wouldn't surprise me if you get through it very quickly. And I'm sorry to say that there's probably more tears on their way!

Do let us know what you think of it once you're done and get involved in the discussions on this board. Looking forward to chatting!

Peggy

Hi all - just to let you know that you are free to discuss absolutely anything in the book, just make sure you mark your posts with *spoiler alert* at the top of your message or in the subject line, then you're free to spill!

If you want to discuss the ending we've got a hread going here.

Really glad you liked it Ellie!

Would love to hear your thoughts on the characters, the ending, what you'd ask the author if you could, which stars you'd chose to play which characters in the film version or absolutely anything else you'd like to chat about for that matter!

Hi Satnav,

The next round of books should become available this week. Meanwhile, we have announced the titles so you can spend some time deciding which one to go for here.

Seems like One Summer was a huge success and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Like I mentioned to Ellie, please do get involved in the discussions we on the characters, the ending, what you'd ask the author if you could, which stars you'd chose to play which characters in the film version or any thing else you'd like to discuss.

If you wanted to swap with someone then please feel free to post on the other boards we have for the other two books: you can choose from The Child Who by Simon Lelic or A Death in Summer by Benjamin Black.
