Channel 4 are making a brand new medical series which is offering people on-the-spot consultations with our TV doctors from the comfort of their own homes, via webcam. We are also running a huge medical road test of popular, over-the-counter medications and would like to invite people to get involved!
Whenever you walk into a chemist, the number of products you can buy for hay fever or teenage skin complaints can be overwhelming. How do we know which ones work best or is it worthwhile spending the extra for a branded tablet over a cheaper own-brand version?
We are looking for volunteers to test out free treatments for hayfever, bad teenage skin, athletes food, head lice, thrush and piles. We need as many testers as possible, but don’t need to film their symptoms. There will be a standardised protocol, a health questionnaire and we will be working with Health Professionals to ensure best practise.
Anyone under the age of 18 will need parental consent.
For any questions or to get involved contact Adam ASAP on 0207 874 6666 or emaila.webb@mavericktv.co.uk
Many thanks
Adam Webb

A message from the very lovely Wondering One about the Community Cookbook board -
"Following my lovely cookery weekend courtesy of http://www.coginio.com, they have been kind enough to share the recipes used on the course!
This in turn has inspired this folder to be added to the board. I thought it would be a good place for everyone to put recipes in place that are Region Specific - see the Wales recipes I've put in there as an example.
So, be lovely if you could contribute to the folder - cheers!"

The Home Office would like to know what the biggest challenges facing women today are, and also how the government can help women.
We've been contacted by the Home Office, who is keen to make sure the government takes women's views into consideration when making policy decisions.
They've put together some questions, which they'd like you to answer if you have time - the link is here: http://tinyurl.com/5tqqa3n
