I thought I'd reply here as its well and truly January now. Great goals you have set.
My goals - well back to bmi first. Hope to do that for holiday at end of march, then I'm aiming at 9st and I see how I feel as ideally 8.7 is middle of bmi for me.
I want to swim regularly again and or walk more. I'm planning in starting with walking as I've been diagnosed with hyper mobility syndrome (can't believe I hadn't spotted it before but the wired joint movement creeped me out as a kid so I kind of ignored it) with the joint pain I've got and dr said to try to keep joints warm will help. Don't fancy swimming just yet our pool is not terribly warm.
I weighed 10.5 on new years day. There are still some goodies left to eat so I doubt I'll be in full swing till next week. Hubby is well on board this morning as his work shirt was a bit tight! He is stressed and a bit scared and when he gets like that he comfort eats so I think it's going to be a difficult start to our year too. I don't expect true normality to return till after our holiday to be honest that way I won't be disappointed.
Have a lovely new year, I'm sure Paris will be great.

Well I was pleasantly surprised to see 1lb off today. Very happy as have not tracked, not eaten anything I shouldn't have though, so I supposed I mentally tracked.
Hubby's op went well, now a 2 week wait for results and see both his consultant and the specialist on 19th for results and to see if there will be a need for radio therapy.
Have a good weekend.

Well another lb off today (10.3) I'm pleased as I've not tracked this week either. Decorator has been in the lounge all week and hubby has been off work recovering so I've cleared out the airing cupboard and the loft
My parents move has fallen through. The lady whose house they were going to pulled out on thur after messing about over signing paperwork. They seem ok about it, I'm sure something better will come along. They didn't like the sloping ceiling in the bedroom, mum was worried dad would forget and knock himself out!! My bro got a flat the same day too so some good news.
Anyway, I hope you are ok.
Have a good weekend.

I'm struggling today. The decorator was in the lounge mon-thur last week, and is coming back to finish this week, meantime the downstairs toilet is being sorted (new everything) and I cracked!!! A friend came round with chocs and I ate some, not many and I'm trying to keep a grip on it (the diet not the choc box!) hubby has his appt on thur when we find out if radiotherapy is needed and that's getting to me now too.
I hope you are ok, can't remember if this week is Paris? Hope it's fantastic!

Well diet wise it's been a disaster week! A 2lb gain! I knew it would be bad, the dust from decorating has been so bad we haven't be able to either prepare lunch or dinner so have been keeping the chippy in business! It all looks great now though.
Hubby had two appts yesterday. The second lump they are not convinced was anything to do with the first (?????) and now all the lumps have gone off to an international specialist based in London. Apparently if he doesn't know then no one will! There is still confusion as to if the lump really is a sarcoma as was eventually the first thought so no more is being done at present, now we face a 3 week or more wait to see what happens next. Poor hubby thought this was more or less over and now feels back at square 1!
Anyway, today it's back to business and moving dads shed contents back from our garage to his shed.
Hope Paris was great.

Hi Ruth,
Sorry I've been absent, it's been hectic here.Paris was lovely, we ate terribly but walked loads so I didn't gain too much.
I've weighed this morning and am 10st 11.75 (a quarter lb loss from last week). I've got terrible munchies this week though and am really struggling, the fruit bowl is fortunately fairly well stocked though.
Yesterday I went to my 1st spinning class, jolly hard work but actually quite enjoyable, so I'm going again next week, one of the Mum's from DS' class came with me & we're going to zumba on Saturday too, though I'm not sure if that'll turn out to be my thing, I'm going to give it a go anyhow.
It must be lovely to have your decorating done & out of the way, we have a million and one jobs to do round the house. I think we're going to get ours & DS's bedroom floors properly sanded and varnished very soon, the stalling point is that I think DH should do it, maybe I should just let him pay someone.
I hope your hubby is ok, I should think the worry is near driving you both mad, fingers crossed for some good news very soon. You're right about your Mum & Dad's move, something better will turn up BUT it's infuriating that people can pull out so late in the day.
Hope you're having a good week,
Emma xx

Glad you had a wonderful time in Paris. I wish I could get more exercise done, my joints are so unpredictable at the mo it makes it difficult. Hubby and I are going to try some let's dance tonight on the wii do if I can't do much it won't matter. Need to get in that bikini at the end of march!
Still not a bad week, 1lb off here. Now 10.4
Have a good weekend. We have sis in law and family over on sat. Doing a buffet do must behave!

Well done for shifting that lb, I'm sure the rest will soon follow. I hope you resisted the buffet goodies. I'm having a bit of a poor week, just not 100% on it, not completely off the rails, hopefully the exercise will counterbalance things. Had a good walk today, the car's been in the garage again so I had little choice.
Enjoy dancing with your Hubby, I can't imagine mine doing anything like that bless him, lol
