Hi Emma,
The week just keeps getting better and better - not!
A 3 hour trip to A&E yesterday eve with the middle son who fell on his wrist playing footie then sat in lessons all afternoon in agony and didn't think to tell anyone!
He has a suspected scaphoid fracture, back next tue for more x rays and possibly a scan. Oh joy! £6.80 in car park too!
I hope your week is going well. I've had a few points extra yesterday but only a couple and today I felt the need for 6 of the kids American hard gums, that aside it's going fine.

Hi Ruth,

Sorry to hear your week is not going well, don't get me started on hospital parking. I was charged double by work (deducted from wages at source) for 4 years but even though they admited they'd overcharged me they only refunded 6 months worth.

I'm having a horrible week. WI on Tuesday showed a 2lb loss and both my 1st half stone and 5% goals achieved, however, before class I'd taken the dog to the vets.

I'm sure I've mentionned him before, but our dog was 14 1/2 and had a poorly heart, over the last few weeks he'd started coughing more & more & with us going away soon I wanted him checked out before we went, plus he needed his nails clipping. Anyway, long story short the vet kept him in for a chest x ray, this showed some swelling, possibly but not definitely a tumour. We came home with steroids for him & a plan to review in a week's time. On Tuesday night he had a stroke which seemed to extend over the morning. He couldn't get up on Wednesday morning, but once I'd lifted him up he managed to stand up & walk downstairs. He was really sick and just looked awful. I rang the vet & arranged to take him back in by which time we had to carry him to the car, poor boy couldn't even keep his head up straight. The vet said he'd had a stroke so we agreed that it was time to let him go. I cannot tell you how sad I am, he was such a lovely natured dog, so kind and loving and loyal, the house is so empty and lonely without him but I suppose I'll get used to it.

Sorry to be so miserable.

Still hoping for another loss next week, my last weigh in before we go to Center Parcs.

Aw Emma,
How awful, poor wee dog. They are so much a part of the family. I remember going to the very with mum and having to leave the dog behind. We cried all the way home! I hope the kids are coping with the loss ok,
I managed 1lb off so that's better than nothing. I wanted more but with kids off and torrential rain it really isn't going to happen!
Today I have Joel off as he was up in the night in pain and it still hurts. Then Jared (eldest) was sent home sick. I think it was the biology lesson to be honest! It said it was gross and about fertility :smileyhappy: boys! He did look green they were pretty keen to get him home lol he had a shower and some toast and seems fine now.
That's the second time he's been taken ill in biology on an empty stomach (first time it was std video lol) I may have a word with his teacher so we get warning and he can go prepared and have eaten first. He didn't eat brekki this morn as he got up late.
Thank goodness it's Friday!
Going to Farnborough on sun. Hubby is technically working and we got in free, he said he wasn't going to put up with another day away from us - awwww! He's soft! So I'm going to take a salad in a lunchbox as I've heard it's BBQ that day.
Hope you have a good weekend.
(((((((((hugs)))))))))

Hi Emma,
Going away tonight so I weighed this morning. 10.5 so saying 1lb gain. I've not tracked this week and I have eaten what I've fancied so I expected that.
Hope you have a good weekend. We are with family this weekend.

Sorry that you had a gain, though it sounds like you know why, which I think is often half the battle.

We had a really lovely weekend at Center Parcs with my Dad & Step Mum and although I didn't go mad, I did allow myself some treats and was shocked at how far over my points I was when I totted all up. Despite coming home On Monday evening 84 pro points in the red, I forced myself to go to class & faced the music. I was delighted to have lost 1lb (almost certainally  the result of weighing in Summer clothes not jeans ;-) ) so 10st 9 this week. Aiming for 9st something by my Birthday in September BUT we're off on holiday on Monday so we'll see what happens, as I proved to myself this weekend, even with alot of activity it's difficult to balance out holiday treats.

I'm going to a class on Mnday to get weighed before I go, I'm hoping that will help keep me honest and also if I lose this week maybe more incentive to keep at it while we're away.

Hope you're enjoying the holidays, lng may this lovely weather last eh?

Emma xx

Hi Emma,
I weighed on fri and got another 1lb gain. 10.6 now. I have been so ill this week with a mega sore throat and head cold and I've eaten far too much ice cream and milkshake to soothe it (and it helped!) so that explains it. Anyway quite a lot better now so exercise bike is coming out tomorrow.
Have a great holiday.

Arg I'm struggling this week. Joints were bad again do the bike stayed put, I got myself some low fat ice creams and cakes so I wouldn't eat the kids ones but I keep eating them! I was better when I knew they were too many points and dealt accordingly instead of thinking its only 1 or 1 1/2 more points and going over!
Hope you are having a lovely holiday.

Hi Emma,
Well serves me right - 1lb gain! I'm not buying treats for me again! So 10.6 again!
I've sprained my wrist, slipped on the stairs and put my hand out, strapped up for a week - oh joy!
Went to Hatfield Forrest with mum and my brothers with the kids today. One of them was mad enough to take the kids on the lake in a rowing boat! On one over board thankfully :smileyhappy:
Enjoy your hols.

Hi Ruth,

Hope you had a good holiday, we had a lovely time in Portugal, the weather was glorious and the beaches were absolutely lovely with very few people on them.

I've been to class this morning and have lost 1.5lbs which I'm pleased with, though I've not been at all good for the last week so I'm almost expecting it to catch up with me next week. At least the most hectic week is out of the way now & I've got today & tomorrow to really plan my meals and get super organised. I'm working tomorrow & Thursday nights, meeting Mum in York on Saturday, work all day Sunday, visiting a friend on Monday and staying over at Mum's before meeting another friend on Tuesday & coming home again, so another pretty full on week, but at least I can plan ahead and shop accordingly. I think I'd better do some cooking today so that I'm prepared.
