Katelyn Eva's Baby Days
Day 21
Weight: 9lb 2oz (weighed on 15/09)
Feeding: 5oz from a 6oz bottle every 4hours.
You are three weeks old today and doing really well, you have almost outgrown your basket and will soon be in your crib! You are still feeding every 4hours and are a little angel at night, as soon as you have been fed you drop back off to sleep and a couple of nights in the last week you have gone 5hours between night feeds. Last night you went 6hours inbetween your 9pm feed and 3am feed!
Mummy is recovering well although she is now on antibiotics due to a uterine infection and is also now back on the pill (hip hip hooray lol)
Your brother is becoming super helpful and wants to pick you up all the time, although he is not allowed to pick you up as he is still very young but he is very much in love with you! You have been out in the car and also on the bus (wasnt that fun with a double pushchair!) and have been visiting friends and family and having lots of cuddles!
You are being weighed again on monday by mandy at home im guessing a weight of near 10lb as you seem to be following in your brothers footsteps!

Day 28
Weight: 9lb 11oz (weighed on 22/09)
Feeding: 5-6oz from 6oz bottle every 4-6hours.
You are four weeks old today and doing really well. You did your very first smile at daddy today when we were shopping in town and mummy got a little smile out of you later today! You are now almost out of newborn clothes and into 0-3 and are in a size 2 nappy you have been since you were two weeks old!
You are still really good a night and are sleeping 5-6 hours after your bedtime feed (between 8-10). You were very sleepy for a couple of days this week only waking for feeds so i think you had a little growth spurt - you have been very awake and alert this afternoon!!
Your brother has started to be a bit of a naughty boy for mummy but he still adores you!
You are being weighed again on monday no guesses this time, i wasnt far off last time but we will see!

Day 35
Weight: 10lb 6oz
Length: 51cm
Feeding: 5-6oz from 6oz bottle every 3-5hours.
You are five weeks old now. We are going to start to change you over to the hungry baby milk as we dont think the other milk is doing what it should for you as you are now waking early for every feed and if we try and get you to drink 6oz like the HV recommend it makes you very sick so we will see how it goes!
Off to clinic to be weighed next week instead of at home so that should be fun!
You are a lot more alert to us now and focus your eyes much more and even follow us across the room with your eyes! Jake was laughing at you bcuz you had hiccups the other day and you looked at him and did a huge grin it was the cutest thing i have ever seen in my life!
Thats all for now sweetpea as i need to get jake in to the bath!!

Day 42
Weight: 10lb 15oz
Feeding: 5-6oz bottle of hungry milk every 4 hours in day and sleeping 7hours @ night!
Well you have really been smiling well this week and i have finally managed to get a picture of you smiling, its so cute! I must remember to send it to the pc so i can pop it onto facebook. You sleep 6.5 to 7 hours at night which is good for mummy and daddy! You have got so big, its like all of a sudden you look so much bigger and no longer fit into any of your newborn clothes!
I just cant get over how pretty you are with your big blue eyes and now your hair is growing and is all fluffy and makes you look so sweet. We missed out on your 6 week check today as they booked it for the wrong surgery so we have to go on wednesday now and mummy also has to see the doctor and she is STILL bleeding!!
You are wide awake for quite a bit of the day now im sure you should still be sleeping quite a bit but never mind i like you to be awake and smiling at us!
Back to the clinic on weds as they didnt do your 6 week measurements this week (pains in the bottom arent they!)

Day 49
Weight: 11lb 8.5oz
Feeding: 5-6oz of hungry milk every 4 hours in the day and 9.5 hrs at night.
You are 7 weeks old now, where has that gone to? This week you had your 6 week check which was great no problems at all and your granuloma has gone now which is excellent.
This week you have also been doing a very small laugh when mummy laughs at you but you only do it for mummy. You have been making loads of cooing noises and are very awake in the day and love being talked to!
Mummy has been picking out your christmas presents today - she cant wait!

Day 72
Weight: 13lb exactly (weighed on 05/11/2008)
Feeding: 7oz from 8oz bottles every 4 hours daily and sleeping 12 hours a night.
You are 10 weeks old now and we have moved house and you have had your first jabs.
You have been a very talkative little girl lately! You love attention (what girl doesnt lol) and love your brother you have a fasincation with him recently.
You and your brother have had tummy upsets this week but you mended a lot sooner than your brother and are all back to normal. You have started to like to hold a muslin square when you sleep for comfort and these sleeping bags work a treat!
