Hi kerry,
if its really really bad and not stainless steel or other metal that might mark, my suggestion would be one of the heavy duty toilet cleaners.do a small patch test first to see if it will lift paint or mark any surface, then applying it on a cloth do very small areas at a time, rinsing very well in between. i found this got of years of limescale when we moved.

if its just everyday stuff try vinegar and some elbow grease. if you find somewhere that sells the last commodity will you please let me know as mine is running tired.lol.

Hi

Have you tried Dettol mould and mildew remover? That's pretty good stuff and might do the trick for you :smileyhappy:

Hi Kerry

The orange is mould I am afraid! Probably from conditioner or showergel.

To get a sparkly shower, I would start with maqking a spray bottle up of something vinegar based, or use something like limelite to de limescale it.
Spray that on and leave it for an hour then lots of hot rinsing and some rubbing.
Take the shower head of and drop it to soak in the same mixture for a couple of hours.

Then clean the cubicle using a bathroom cleaner- I like Flash Bathroom and rinse. Finally tackle the mould -as Mel said people rate the Dettol Mould & Mildew remover very highly,

After that either buy a daily shower spray or make one up with white vinegar and use it regularly. Also make sure you really clean round the grouting with the running water when you finish to stop the mildew building up again

Good Luck! Let us know how it goes

Yes that dettol spray is brilliant. I have a bath/shower glass screen with rubber seals at the base and side which are mouldy and pink inside, it is gross! I tried spraying some of the spray down the one attached to the wall but no luck. The other one can be removed so I could soak it. Any ideas on what I could do? Thanks, Goldie x x

My shower tray is mouldy (turned black) on two sides where the tray meets the tiles. Would white vinegar work to remove it then? I'm asking about the vinegar as opposed to Dettol as I'm on a very tight budget and vinegar is something I would have anyway.

Hi,

If the mould is under the sealant where the tray and tiles meet you probably won't be able to get it off, you'll have to remove the sealant and reapply it. If it's just on the surface then vinegar, a toothbrush and lots of scrubbing might do the trick.

It is on the surface - over the sealer. Will try the vinegar when I have time. Thanks! This is one of the things I know might not score points when we get to selling the house, everytime I see it I think that, lol! We're getting a prob with humidity everywhere now though. I just found an Ovaltine container with the powder all melted inside! And I had to throw away a carton of washing powder as it had attracted so much humidity that it broke out in white little pimples all over. It looked like it was going to turn into a ball of fur it got so bad (tmi)

try dettol bleach spray and an oscalating electri tooth brush.  Works a treat on grout.

We have an old lecy tooth brush as we bought a new sonic one.
