Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry i havnt been around much iv been so busy with work and the kids my daughters op. But all is well. Not got any symptoms apart from slightly sore breasts. Hoping it doesnt mean im in for a rough labour!! Had booking in appointment and 12 week scan, everything was great. Got 16 week app next week and just waiting for date for 20 week scan. I know this might sound silly but i cant help feeling something terrible is going to happen to me during or shortly after childbirth, i just cant shake it off, making me feel quite depressed that i may not see my children grow up :'( can anyone help?? Thanks. Gemma xx

Hi Gemma,

I think everyone gets busy at this time of year so please dont worry. I hope your daughters op went well.

How you are feeling is totally normal. I think once you have had a baby your much more aware of problems etc. I felt exactly the same way and it lasted till a few months after my LO arrived. I had totally irrational thoughts! I found writing my thoughts down or talking about them really helped me. Especially nearer the time. Just talking them through and getting someone elses opinion helped, Even when i was in labour I told my mw all my fears. She understood completely and was able to reassure me. Now I have 4 beautiful children and i'm making the most of them!

Hugs

xx
