Not much going on here. We went out for a wander yesterday to see how the prep for the Open golf is getting on (it starts next week) nand I couldn't believe how well prepared everything is. I'm not a fan of golf but it's exciting that our little town will be hosting the likes of Tiger Woods etc. We live within a mile of the course and could have rented the house out fot £3500 for the week  Amazing. 

I have nearly finished piecing the top for my quilt, only about 6 strips to do now then the difficult bit starts, Erm, I'm getting all the vouchers, maps and finding places to eat on our holiday at the start of next month. Other than that just puttering about, spending time at the beach when it's not too rainy and generally having a good time. 

Oh yeah, we're going to a wedding reception on Saturday. DH went to the wedding last weekend but they're having another party closer to where we live this weekend so I can go to that too. Have a new dress and everything!

For the past few weeks I've been dealing with tantrums, arguments and fights as my two are both going through a tricky patch!

I've been visiting childminders as have to book one for September, found a lovely lady and DS seems very happy with her and her house, so relieved and hope he settles well when I leave him.

I applied for the return to teach course, so spent a few evenings form filling etc.

DD's last day at pre-school today, so had a wee cry on the way home from pick up x

Also I'm running pre-school summer school with another mum so been sorting stuff out for that!

We've decided we'll be staying where we are for now and not moving. A number of factors but mainly quite simply the fact the housing market is so dead. So we're having a couple of rooms painted this week, stairs loo, bathroom, kitchen and our bedroom. DP is on nights so I'm going to try and get out and about to keep the kids quiet and out of the way.

I'm hoping we'll be booking our holiday this week. It's been just over two weeks since I sent the boys passport forms off so I've got my fingers crossed they're here this week.

It's DD's last week of school before the holidays. I'm pleased about that as I hate tie of the school hours. No doubt once we've done about 5 weeks of holidays I'll be looking forward to her going back.

Good stuff, must be a relief to have made the decision. and you get to have a bit of a primp of the house which is always good.
