Titanic the Musical

I went to see a local production of Titanic the Musical last night.  Has anyone else seen it?

It was an interesting show although not one I think I'd rush to see again.  Some of the music was good and there were a couple of very lovely and moving ballads as well as a very lively Irish jig but I found some of the music instantly forgettable.  Of course, it's a show with a guaranteed miserable ending so a bit hard to really enjoy but there were some nice moments.

I have to say too that there were some fantastic sound effects and at the end when the ship sank and the theatre was dark it was incredibly emotive.

Spoiler alert -:smileywink:

I saw it a couple of years ago and felt just the same, waiting only to see how they'd sink the ship at the end.

It was ambitious and well performed but I was underwhelmed.
