This tip was passed on to me  as a "knitting" tip but could be used by any craft involving wool;

Put the wrapper from your bar of soap in the bag with the ball of wool you are using and it gives the garment you are knitting a lovely smell.

Thanks Mary, what a brilliant idea.

I make cards and when I emboss any (I have a lovely machine) the tip is to wipe over the card first with a fabric conditioner sheet. Moistens the fibres on the card and gives a better embossed image. Of course the scent on the conditioner sheet lingers for a while on the card.
