Pinkmelly mentioned Summer Strallen starring in Top Hat and I found this wonderful photo on the internet to share with you of her on opening night of Love Never Dies with her sisters.

What  a beautiful and talented family.  Summer  starred in Love Never Dies and took over from Connie Fisher in Sound of Music.  She has recently toured in Top Hat which is now at the Aldwych.  Scarlett (far right in the picture and the eldest) played Mary Poppins.  I saw it in the West End and loved it.  She's now starring in the new production of  Singin in the Rain.  Zizi far left in the picture was in Dirty Dancing at the age of 17 and I saw her as a dancer in Matthew Bourne's Cinderella last year. She's now in Rock of Ages playing the reporter. Saskia is 18 and at college.  I wonder what she's studying?!

Their parents were performers Sandy Strallen and Cherida Langford, both performed in the original London production of "Cats".  Cherida Langford is sister to Bonnie who we now recognise in all of their faces don't we?

Aw, what a lovely picture.

I have to confess that I had no idea about Summer's family tree.  I must have seen her parents as I saw the original cast of Cats back in 1981 (gosh, that ages me a bit doesn't it!!) although I do remember Bonnie being in it. I also didn't realise that her sister played Mary Poppins too which I also saw and loved.  What a beautiful & talented family.
