Hi all

My daughter's Rainbow group are holding a light party the weekend of Halloween and I've been volunteered to provide some food so I'm after picking everyone's brains for ideas please!

We usually have a Halloween party at home so I'm well up on suitably spooky food, but with this being held by the church as an alternative to Halloween so anything to do with witches, ghouls and spooky faces is out!!

I'd like to make something that reflects this autumn time of year, maybe to do with it having recently been harvest festival, but also comfort food for a chillly evening. Not too much of an ask then!!!

Any ideas and suggestions most welcome, thank you!

Sorry I've not been on here for a while as I was away for my wedding, now that's all over I'm getting back into the winter cooking mode.  What did you end up cooking for the party?

I would have suggested something like bonfire night food, pie and peas, a lovely roasted pumpkin soup or a nice warming chilli.  Hope it went well
