Well I'm in hospital - miscarriage started naturally but I lost so much blood so quickly I almost passed out. My sister had come round and called an ambulance and it was blues and twos me all the way! My blood pressure apparently was 40/0 I've got 2 drips in now - the bleeding has now slowed right down. I have to have a scan early in the day - its almost 4am now!

Will update more later!

I came home at around 5pm. DH has been with me most of the day. The scan showed that all of the pregnancy had come away. Blood levels are at 7.9 when they should be around 12. I'm on iron supplements to gel pick me back up again.

Going to be off work for a while to let me get my head round all of this!

Take care

Oh Annette, I'm so sorry... It must have been very scary. Hope you get better soon. Take good care of yourself and take time to grieve.

Love and Hugs

So sorry to come on and see your sad, sad update Annette

Thinking of you, I know when I M/C around this time last year Christmas just round the corner made it even more intense coping and coming to terms with what I'd lost but at the same time remembering what I still had in DD and wanting to make sure her Christmas wasn't affected. It's not easy. & not fair. hugs and love to you, Faning x

Thanks Faning

I hadn't realised at the time how seriously ill I actually was. We are both still devastated but trying to carry on as normal for Gemma.

Physically I'm doing ok - going to see the Doctor this afternoon so hopefully they will let me go back to work next week - then I break up for Christmas anyway! It's the emotional side I have to deal with now though.

Can seem to get enthused about Christmas, we are going to spend it with my in-laws in Wales, plus my Niece and Nephew, it's the nieces first Christmas too!

Hope everything is ok with you and the new little one makes her exit for you soon.

Annette

Hi Annette,

I found the emotional side harder.  I M/C in 2007 after a surprise natural pg.  It was so unexpected it took a while to realise and at first we were more concerned than happy, but after a scan with a nice strong heartbeat and everything looking fine we relaxed a bit.  A week later I m/c.  I found having a child was a source of comfort but also that even if they weren't, you were aware the sibling they had lost which added to the sadness.

I wish you well over the next while.  Find enjoyment and laughter wherever possible but remember it's okay to feel sad, you don't have to hide it if that's how you feel.

Very best wishes.

Love Lynne

Hi Annette - I was so sorry to read your message. I've had a number of miscarriages and know how hard it is, particularly emotionally. I hope that being able to cuddle your daughter will bring you some comfort and that the hurt and pain diminishes for you soon.
