I can't believe that Sam's now 5 years old. Doesn't seem possible really. I know everyone tells you it goes so fast - and one level it does! But I love it - I love seeing him develop and increase in confidence, and I love seeing him lap up the new information coming his way, and his sense of achievement...

But still - 5 years old! How did THAT happen?!

Happy belated birthday Sam! I hope he had a lovely day. I can't believe how fast it's gone at all, they grow up far too quickly :smileyhappy:

They do grow so fast - but don't you find that it's thrilling seeing them develop. At the moment I'm loving seeing Sam take on the challenges of school, and his delight at learning to read and discovering he can do it himself! This is why he's had "ham, egg and chips" each time we've been out recently - as he can read that on the menu himself!

And he had a fantastic time for his birthday, and the weekend before when we went over to the Isle of Wight for the day to Carisbrooke Castle (his request) and then the following weekend when we had a big family party away (30 of us officially for my Aunt's birthday - but Sam's came into it too!), and he got to do things like fossil hunting on the beach (we were near Lyme Regis), and his triceratops birthday cake!

Great fun!
