Bullying Catch 22
Often we speak of online trolls or pests, who can behave in many forms that cause problems. Some of these forms are often subtle, and not so obvious until looking through historical behaviours.
I, and a handful of others, have had a situation with an online troll copying worries and woes, and, without actually understanding the basis for the issues, reproducing them as their own - for sympathy and attention mostly. This has limited ability to participate, and reduced the confidence of all involved.
However, even though there is a large amount of citable evidence as proof for the behaviour, if we "call the troll out", those who have been caused the hurt by the actions will be accused of becoming the bullies.
What does one do in such a situation ?
