you're welcome! i like crisps occasionally but they don't satisfy me somehow anymore, but if i have a couple of handfuls of seeds, much better!
you can put any seasoning you like on them, experiment, see what you like; the trick is to not use much oil; i bought some rice bran oil which is supposed to be a 'good oil' but olive oil is fine
or rapeseed oil or what ever you use for cooking
the seeds in the shops can be expensive in the long run and you dont get many which is why i buy mine in bulk from goodness direct which are an online store and roast them myself; cheaper!
i like the sound of the roasted pita chips, mmm!
Last night I heated some extra virgin olive oil in a pan and ripped up a wholemeal pitta bread, fried with some chilli flakes til they were crisp and had it with some salsa and sour cream.. the sour cream probably wasn't that good for me but I love creamy dips and its better than putting herbs and chives in mayo as mayo is quite bad!
It was yummy
i do love my seeds and nuts, and roasted soya nuts by 'the food doctor' are lovely!! i could eat them until the cows come home!
