My Birth Story
Hi, well here it goes:
Sunday 17th October - Woke at 5.30 with bad cramps coming every 10 minutes, went to toilet to find there was blood so assumed was having my show. The contractions died out during the day then come evening were back to every 10 mins but stronger so called triage to find out how close they should be before I went in and was told established labour was 3 in 10 mins. Had a bath took paracetamol and set tens machine up. They died down again and I went to bed at midbnight and slept right through till 7am.
Monday 18th October - Woke at 7am as contractions started again and were quite strong, put tens machine on. By 7.45 they were still every 6-7 mins but had tens machine right up and was in agony so gave in and called triage. They asked me to come in and be checked but may be sent home if not far gone. So I called sister to meet me at hospital so she could take DS off us for the day and night.
Arrived at hospital at 9am was checked and told I did very well at home as I was 8cm!!!!! so was taken round to labour ward at 9.30 and given gas and air, that didnt work too well so tried diamorphine which wore off for the birth. I was too late for epidural obviously.
Aiden John Bull was born at 1.11pm weighing 8lb 15 and half oz and is perfect. I had to have a couple stitches but no major tears. We were discharged that night and we were all home by 11pm.
He is the spit of his brother in every way and has same personality where he only cries for food and when he gets bum changed.
