Shaving?

Hi all

I have quite chunky thighs and they are hairy. I don't like to wax or use an epilator so I have used the Veet hair removal cream [the one where you don't need a razor] and your normal shaving foam and razor.I shave my lower legs everyday and they feel lovely and smooth throughout the day.  My thighs don't. I can spend a couple of hours trying to get my thighs hair-free and smooth but no matter what I used, theres still always a bit of hair left. As well, the hair on my thighs seems to need shaving again the next day. :[

I'm going on holiday in a few weeks and don't want to spend everyday shaving; can anyone recommend a good shaving cream/foam and a razor that will be: a] suitable for sensitive and easy to cut skin, b] keep regrowth to a minimum and c] isn't too expensive.

I want to feel good on holiday so all help and advice will be really appreciated, thank you!

I always thank myself lucky I can't see the hair on my legs as they are so fair! So I do feel sorry for people with dark hair trying to get rid.
I'm not sure what to suggest to you as I've not had this problem and I just shave in the shower. Although, eventhough I can't see the hairs much, I never seem to get rid of them all either if I look close enough!
Would you think about going to a beauty salon and getting your legs waxed? You would have to leave them grow for a couple of weeks though as they have to be long enough for the wax to stick & pull them off!

At the risk of sounding a bit weird have you actually thought of buying a man's razor?

I am not talking about plastic dispoable ones as they rip your skin and very uncomformtable.

A proper mans cartridge razor, like Gillette or Wilkinson Sword, realtively heavy and most now cary a moisturising bar as well.    Get a good lather of soap and apply it to the length of the legs and shave; sometimes if feels even more comfortable if you have runnnng water over the razor, since that acts a futher lubricant.

You can reduce the level of re-growth by applying vaseline and rubbing it in deeply and then finnishing off the whole leg off with talcum powder, so the Vaseline does not interfere with stockings etc.

I hope this helps.

Patsy.
